 Parts compatibility
I need some help to check if these parts are compatible with each other. I am trying to build a computer with a cost under $300. My requirement is that this computer can run the Windows OS Vista or 7 and games such as Wizard101, FreeRealms, and FusionFall on Here are the links to the parts. Motherboard: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6620727&CatId=2838CPU: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3740792Case: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6705505&CatId=1509Hard Drive: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4837457I also have a floppy drive, a dvd drive, and two 10.2 GB hard Drives from two old gateway computers (G6-400 and Essential). Try to find good, compatible RAM for this build that can still meet my budget and see what RAID configuration I can do to make my computer better. Can you check what amount of voltage I may need for these components. Also check if I need to make any adjustments to the build so I can have a long lasting built computer. Here is my spreadsheet for my build: (May contain additional parts that are needed.)

 Re: Parts compatibility
So far so good, Not the best and most updated build i ahve seen but you buy for what you need right?
Everything looks compatible, just wondering if your gonna buy a GPU or not. that will help in deciding what kind of PSU u need. But 500 W is good. Also 300 is really low, you might want to increase it to 500 to accommodate ram and a PSU

 Re: Parts compatibility
So, do i need a fan in the rear of the case, or the side? I am going to update the spreadsheet when i can find good parts. And could I run Windows 7? I also need help with RAM decision. Could I use SDRAM on this motherboard? Plus, I am trying to save on the computer by having a good Video Chipset and built in Audio.

 Re: Parts compatibility
yah for $300 don't get a GPU. Use on board Graphics & Audio.
Maybe some AMD 2 core, Simple MB with HD 4290 or HD 4250 graphics, case, psu, & probably 2gb of ram. I would try for 4gb though. $300 is a tight tight budget.

 Re: Parts compatibility
A rear fan is okay, should come with the case anyways. as long as there is a fan to bring in cool air take and a fan to expel hot air, your good. to run windows 7, look at the requirements here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/wind ... quirementsyou need at least 2 gb of ram (4gb to be safe) unless your getting windows 7 32 bit then you can go up to 3
