Sorry for the blurry pictures, I had to use my droid instead of my camera

So.. When I was doing the front covers for the dvd drives I realized That I would not be able to do a push design for the buttons because the 5.25 covers are very stiff. So I ripped apart a few old IDE drivers and took out the switches.. I unscrewed the bottom of the drives, soldered on 22 gauge wire to the 4 terminals on the existing switches (I decided to leave them there because there was no reason to take them out), and ran it to the new switches at the bottom of the hotswap bays.

I put them at the bottom becuase when you put the hotswap trays in you cant see the wires at all

Ooooh there's tape on it, alright that explains everything regarding the color lol
Might I just say that the design with the drives, while it is creative and very fashionable seems a cumbersome. Maybe it would be more useful to drill small hole on the side of the front bezel and have the buttons poke out there. (Side being one the actual side, right next to the side panels)

wow.. I had no idea what you were talking about when you said the color was off before.. you were talking about the blue! HAHAHA thats tape man.. and no its really not, you pop the door which is as easy as pressing its button then just press the button inside.. easy as pie.. plus your way would not look as clean

Ok.. Well its just about 1:30 in the morning now and I finished installing the fan controller after modding it with white leds (it usually has dual color blue/red leds)

Here is what the bottom rad looks like with the fans on
Image

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

As far as what fans are plugged in where, the first port is split between the 2 fans closest to the front of the case (top and bottom of the top rad), the second port is split between the two middle fans on the top rad, the third port is the 2 last spots on the top rad (in the back of the case), the fourth port is split between the 2 fans on the bottom rad, the fifth port is the back fan, and the sixth port is the fan on the side of the HDD bays.

... Here I used the sata power lead that comes with the obsidian for the dvd drives instead of the HDDs.. I did this because I would rather have the perfectly spaced ones where you can see them and not behind the HDD cover.. I cut off the top too connections on it and put the terminating cover on the second from the bottom.

Just wondering. I thought you could install the 980X despite lack of BIOS support, then just use that to flash the BIOS?

I think you need another way to display pics like a link to a slide show or something. Its really annoying watching them all load & having the page jump around so much. Impossible to read anything until everything is loaded.

+1

Especially when my connection is slow, it takes like a minute before I can start reading.

When I get my parts, I make sure I never make that mistake! Then I will be able to declare your statement false.

I know some of the lights look a bit blue but I can tell you that they are all very white.. Also, the only thing left to do is fill up the res a bit more, and put on the new side panel which should be here any day now!
