Post MS Paint
My god I hate Microsoft... mostly for tricking me into uninstalling ms-paint and Internet explore, including all the protocols (meaning firefox didn't work either). Then they requried me to have a genuine Microsoft XP CD to re-install these features... &*#%$@#*. Anyways... this was 2 months ago, & I was able to reinstall internet explore by "upgrading" to IE8 which reinstalled all those little computer connecting codes I needed.

MS Paint however... was a complete *&$^$ to get back. Couldn't even DL it off microsoft. They kept insisting I needed my original install CD; such BS. Couldn't even copy it from my friends windows 7 computer... apparently it is a "super protected file" in Windows7.

Well.. 2 months later... I FINALLY GOT MS-PAINT BACK!! & not the stupid windows95 version that only supports .bmp!

MS Paint DL

In case anyone experiences the same agony I once did.
--> I'm just so much faster with this little program, cropping & what not, because I've used it my whole life.

Not exactly sure if this is what you mean but if you want to copy an item in paint and have the background transparent you use the button with the dotted square or the one to the left of it. Anything that is pure white will be transparent.

Why not use photofilter instead of paint, much faster to crop photos.

Mine, was all installed already when I buy my pc. And haven't plan to upgrade my vista to windows 7. I can't loose an OS at this time.

or why not use the 'GNU Image Manipulation Program' aka. G.I.M.P.

even though the names a bit unfortunate it's a good program
