Post Msi Big BANG
Set to come around December or January this sucker makes running both Nvidia and ATI cards at the same time very possible.

More info on the Hydra

The way they advertise how the platform scales is interesting, putting in 4 video cards means 4x performance. Best part is Intel is backing them up, so I smell that this might fix the whole 16x, 8x P55 problem.

I heard about this, i think it was on Engadget.

Not that useful for me but i guess you can always have PhysX with your 5870s.

So it means I can have NVIDIA cards in SLI + an ATI card for something else?

Or does it enable you to do SL-fire or something?

It's "SLFire" as both cards are working graphically. So theoretically I could install a 5870 then install a older 7900GT for a performance increase.

Yeah, i'm gonna have to agree with Tony. Nvidia and ATI won't like it, so you can't expect drivers from them.

Nvidia already made a patch that will stop the card from functioning if an ATI card was present in the upcoming win 7 os

but someone already made a patch for it and it was all good, can anyone say 3x 5870 + 295

200 fps in Crysis *drools* but then... who would make drivers...

I wonder how MSI is going to pull this off considering that evil nVIDIA won't like it...
