Post memory parity check
Anyone can help me with this?
Old laptop having this error message
NMI: parity check/memory parity error
My in-laws changed RAM bec. they're getting that error but still getting the same error after new RAM. Tried reseating and one by one installing the RAM which didn't help.
I noticed some distortions on graphics (like words couldn't be read or totally blocked out by just pixels)...i've read a lot of forums and a lot of theories/causes but how do i isolate the problem if there's a way?
What diagnostic tool to use? THanks!

What is the clock speed of your old ram compared to the new ones?

Have to ask the owner that first. But was it really the RAM in the first place? I noticed that when i boot it first time after not being turned on for a long time, i can still use it for a light surfing and then shorter and shorter.
RAM was upgraded from 1g to 2g. should there be any change in configuration?
