Post short circuit
alright... i've obviously got a short circuit somewhere... Help me find out where?

My computer just black screens & shuts down randomly (not doing anything intense like gaming & by shut down I mean freeze + black screen (the fans still spin)). It happens A LOT when I plug in a usb device (front panel or back into motherboard). Happens when I plug in my headphones too. Just happened when I put a CD in the drive. & I got a shock too. Sometimes it happens if I just jump near the computer or sit down in my chair hard 2ft away.

It's been happening since I built the computer & it's shut the computer down probably 30x in the last 2 weeks. It's REALLY starting to annoy me. :(

I've used all those stupid front connector extenders & usb extenders on the MB to no avail. I'm 100% sure the graphics card has nothing to do with the short & I'm 90% sure it's a MB issue.

All help is awesome! thank you! I can submit pictures/videos upon request & when I go back to college I have a webcam on my desk.

Hmm interesting, Did you try unplugging, checking the connectors and replugging everything back in firmly but gently? and when you built it, did you make sure you were electrostatic free? that might have caused the issue. but anyways, come back with updates!
